9 dan 10 April lalu warga UTP
berpeluang untuk menyaksikan pementasan pertama teater “Jalud”, sebuah produksi
TTS yang mementaskan hasil karya terbaru daripada Dr Shark. Walaupun “Jalud”
memaparkan watak seorang pemain boneka ventriloquistik dan bonekanya, kisah ini
sebenarnya diilhamkan oleh filem “The Voices” arahan Marjane Satrapi dengan
Ryan Reynolds sebagai pemegang watak utamanya.
Teater
“Jalud” membawa cerita tentang Amir, seorang “ventriloquist” (ahli bicara
perut, lol) yang kehilangan kerjanya setelah sambutan terhadap persembanhannya
semakin berkurang dan merugikan kelab tempatnya bekerja. Seterusnya, hubungan
antara Amir dan bonekanya turut dipaparkan setelah menganggur, berserta dengan
gangguan-gangguan yang mula dihadapi oleh Amir serta orang lain dalam hidupnya.
Pementasan
di UTP tempoh hari berjalan dengan lancar sekali. Pihak TTS amat berterima
kasih kepada semua hadirin yang hadir dari dalam dan juga luar UTP, seperti
RCMP Ipoh dan UiTM Bandar Melaka kerana sokongan yang diberikan kepada TTS
serta industri teater tanahair. Semoga di masa hadapan sudi untuk menonton
persembahan TTS lagi.
Bagi
yang tidak berpeluang untuk menyaksikannya, jangan risau kerana
"Jalud" akan ke Kuala Lumpur pula. Pementasan selama dua malam akan
diadakan di Auditorium JKKN Kuala Lumpur di Jalan Tun HS Lee, dahulunya
dikenali sebagai Taman Budaya Kuala Lumpur. Maklumat lanjut boleh didapati di sini.
On April 9th and 10th, UTP community had
the opportunity to see the first theatre production of Jalud”, a TTS production
of the latest piece piece written by Dr Shark. While “Jalud” feature a
ventriloquist and his puppet, the story was actually inspired by the film “The
Voices” directed by Marjane Satrapi with Ryan Reynolds leading the casts.
“Jalud” brought the story about Amir, a
ventriloquist that lost his job after dwindling public’s interest leading to
profit lost to the club he was working at. Next, Amir’s relationship with his
puppet was featured after he was fired, followed by disturbances that started
to occur in the lives of Amir and others that were close to him.
The production in UTP went smoothly.
TTS would like to thank the audience from inside as well as outside of UTP,
such as RCMP Ipoh and UiTM Bandar Melaka for their support to TTS and local
theatrical industry. Hopefully you will come again to see us in the future.
